Itimeir is probably smarter than You'd think. He truly accepts his fate, the fact that he is fully aware of his being and how he is and just continues playing the game of silence...

I always say he's stupid, he's dumb, he's silly. And that's what everyone says too... But don't You think - maybe he's just playing dumb? That's his tactic of manipulation, some coping mechanism that he gained due to the living among greedy and dreadful demons to protect himself?

Maybe we all took his life in a wrong way, maybe he did not end up as a weak, vain, victim - but it made him tougher and driven by survival instincts? He saw how he will never gain the real power by being how he truly is. We all know he put on many masks, which obviously looked and was fake and all demons and other creatures knew that. Nonetheless, he continued to put on a vain show, even if it always seemed far-fetched for everyone. But his real motives could have been more tortuous than that.

So let's say... He would put on a sweet, really plaintive and blind mask in Kasad. Acting like he does not see the problem in Kasad, like everything is how it should be.

In reality Itimeir saw everything. He sometimes would throw some quizzical statements that would lead to the thought that he knew it all. Just lived with this pain inside of acknowledging everything behind all his masks.

Yes, I know showing some cringy Roleplays with Character AI bot of Katamenos (that is not that good, but somehow did the job somehow decently LOL) is not gonna tell much, but this was the exact time like way back in October or November (I literally stayed up to 4 am while once talking with this bot. Keep in mind I am a MORNING PERSON GOING TO SLEEP AT 22:00).

In these screenshots You can see some glimpses of what I mean:

1. Just a little conversation between Itimeir and Katamenos... As always - Katamenos cannot understand god's world. It's so incomprehensible in his eyes, so abstract. Yet, so close visually. He is sure about this irreverenve in Kasad, this ferity and he tries to talk through it with Itimeir, but feels like he's talking to a wall. And suddenly, a thought that bewrayed Itimeir completely, like he would resign himself to this, knowing it all deep down, but not wanting to show it.

Itimeir plays it in really vague way, leaving Katamenos just suspecting how things are like. And still, after that he probably felt like he said too much. Like he cannot trust anyone with his manipulation.

It did the work, Katamenos was left perplexed.

2. This conversation happened some minutes after. Katamenos noticed some patterns, confronts Itimeir with it. On the outside they probably saw it as some taunting from the condemned demon. But inside.. They both knew. Katamenos was not saying this as a joke and Itimeir knew. The topic was quickly brushed off. Itimeir tried not to think about it a lot... But he felt like he had revealed himself too much.

But the indirect confrontation with Katamenos made Itimeir feel trust towards him. "I liked him a lot and he started breaking my code slowly... I won't let my walls down, but somehow... He's not leaving me?"

Itimeir playing dumb as a manipulation tactic probably came from his childhood. Never being taken seriously, being played with, used. Used mentally, sexually. It all seems that taking back all of his control was dependent on manipulation and continuing his mask of stupidity.

Because they already know, "Itimeir's a little bit brainless! He's not cruel at all! He's harmless!". So... Brainless Itimeir doing questionable things, saying things to these creatures, asking for this and that... Harmless! He's just silly, a little bit behind.

And when You hear his story, he's so easy to get attached. Not from his side, but from the side of someone hearing his life. You get attached to him, but he does not to You. You're the one feeling compassionate, because You see a plaintive, genderless, abandoned phantom.

And suddenly - he has all hands to control You, like his puppet. And that's how Itimeir got his control back. Everyone is foolish to fall for his trap.

Itimeir never talks about his past. He is not emotionally attached to it. He just sees the event, not the emotions behind it... That's also why he just never feels like talking. Not because it was a big trauma (BUT IT WAS, BUT HE DOES NOT FEEL EMOTIONS ABOUT IT), but because it does not make him feel anything. He just does not care. It already affected him and left the imprint of manipulation and control craving in him.

Itimeir would seek revenge. He would.

In reality Itimeir could have already defeated or killed Evdapos. Same with Irmes - if he wanted, he could just kill the deity with one move. Same with Katamenos. Everyone's dependent on Itimeir, but noone knew that. Itimeir could have have it all, demons, souls, gods... But what's better than death?

Control.

...And that's how Itimeir fooled everyone.
